Our Vocation Sewing Center in Thar, Sindh Pakistan provides skill development and training. It enables the women of Thar region to earn a respectable living by teaching them sewing skills.
We have 5 machines that are under the ownership of the Training Center. Anyone can come and learn on them. These machines stay in the center.
Apart from these, every 4 months, we are shortlisting 10 zakaat eligible women and procure 10 machines from Zakaat. Those 10 women are taught the sewing skills for 4 months, and in the end those 10 machines are gifted to them so they have a continuous source of income right after completion of their training.
In order to give them confidence and practical experience, we buy the clothes they make during the course of training and donate these clothes to the needy people in the area.
